Who We Are
The Sulyar
Story
Founded with intention
Travel has never been something we do. It's something we feel — a smell, a texture, a moment so vivid it's burned into memory and stays there for the rest of your life.
Sulyar was founded by someone who spent years travelling differently. Not through the grand lobby of a famous hotel, but through the back streets of towns most people drive past. Not at a pool bar with a thousand other guests, but at a table in a family-run auberge where the chef is also the owner's grandmother, and the wine comes from the vineyard you can see from the window.
What struck us, every time, was how much better these experiences were — and how much less stressful. No crowds. No queues. No sense that you're being processed through someone else's idea of a good time. Just a place, its people, and you. Exactly where you're supposed to be.
We also noticed something else. These places — the small château, the family farm, the village inn that's been there for three centuries — they take real pride in what they offer. They aren't trying to scale. They're trying to be extraordinary for the handful of people they welcome each year. And when you stay there, you're not just a guest. You're contributing to something that matters.
That's the idea behind Sulyar. Find the places that earn their reputation quietly. Design journeys that feel like they were made for you — because they were. And help the people who make those places possible keep doing what they do.
Travel doesn't have to be stressful. It doesn't have to be generic. And the most meaningful experiences are often the ones nobody told you about.
