The Story Behind Sulyar

Travel is a feeling. Not a transaction.

Sulyar was built by someone who believes that the best journeys aren't the most expensive ones — they're the ones that stay with you long after you've come home.

The Sulyar
Story

Founded with intention

Travel has never been something we do. It's something we feel — a smell, a texture, a moment so vivid it's burned into memory and stays there for the rest of your life.

Sulyar was founded by someone who spent years travelling differently. Not through the grand lobby of a famous hotel, but through the back streets of towns most people drive past. Not at a pool bar with a thousand other guests, but at a table in a family-run auberge where the chef is also the owner's grandmother, and the wine comes from the vineyard you can see from the window.

What struck us, every time, was how much better these experiences were — and how much less stressful. No crowds. No queues. No sense that you're being processed through someone else's idea of a good time. Just a place, its people, and you. Exactly where you're supposed to be.

We also noticed something else. These places — the small château, the family farm, the village inn that's been there for three centuries — they take real pride in what they offer. They aren't trying to scale. They're trying to be extraordinary for the handful of people they welcome each year. And when you stay there, you're not just a guest. You're contributing to something that matters.

That's the idea behind Sulyar. Find the places that earn their reputation quietly. Design journeys that feel like they were made for you — because they were. And help the people who make those places possible keep doing what they do.

Travel doesn't have to be stressful. It doesn't have to be generic. And the most meaningful experiences are often the ones nobody told you about.

The best trips don't come from a catalogue. They come from knowing where to look — and caring enough to look properly.

What We Believe

The principles behind
every journey we design

01

Niche is not a
compromise

The places most people overlook are often the ones most worth finding. A lesser-known region, a smaller property, a town without a Michelin star — these aren't second choices. They're often the first choice, if you know where to look.

02

Travel should feel
like yours

A trip that was designed for everyone feels like it was designed for no one. Everything Sulyar creates starts with a conversation — your pace, your interests, the things that matter to you — and builds from there.

03

The best hospitality
is personal

The finest welcome you'll ever receive won't come from a five-star chain. It'll come from a host who chose this life deliberately — who takes genuine pride in their region, their table, and the people they invite into it.

04

Travel is a way
to give back

When you stay at a family-run estate, eat at a local restaurant, and buy wine directly from the vigneron — you're not just having a better experience. You're supporting the people and places that make a region worth visiting in the first place.

"The smell of a place, the warmth of a welcome, a meal you didn't expect to be that good — these are the things that stay."
